The last couple of weeks have been filled with new experiences for our family. Emily went back to work on May 4th. It was pretty difficult, but Erik helped pull them both through it. Daycare sent us pictures the first couple days, but as soon as they stopped, it got hard again.
Emily & Austin hold hands on the way to daycare & on the way home from daycare. It probably helps Mom more than Austin, but whatever works at this point! They are getting into a routine, but I'm sure it will take some time to get all the kinks out. He had some issues eating when we got home after daycare (since he got a lot of bottles during the day), but he seems to have adjusted now. We're told that he has been great at daycare, very happy & content. I just hope that they still give him attention if he's not crying.
Here is Austin's first present (and art project) he made for Mom! A flower handprint. I don't know how they did it, because I tried the week before & couldn't get him to open his hand. Needless to say it was very special! The whole day was wonderful to spend together.

Here Austin is looking at bottom of the shelf, for some reason he gets really excited by it. I think he see's his Angels & they are making him smile.
He loves his bouncy (& so does Mom so she can shower). His favorite animal is the Zebra right now, probably because of the color contrast.

Now he's all snuggly for bed.
His favorite things to do right now are kick, smile, look in a mirror & talk. In his play mat below he can do all of them.
