A Family Adventure!

Whew!!!! That pretty much sums up the last several weeks at the Raml Household!

Debbie & I had talked about getting our boys together since she found out she was expecting. The goal - to play trucks together! Here they are getting acquainted with one another in the chair. At one point they were holding hands...see buddies already.

He's Austin getting a hug from Debbie.

After naps we finally broke out the trucks. They had fun & Aiden even shared his truck with Austin, what a sweetie!

Let the good times roll, or I mean "mouth"

Austin has been battling ear infections & virus for quite a while & now we are in a bad sleep pattern...Mom & Dad are up 4+ times a night. So all of us are tired, but some us can take naps. Here Austin is sleeping in our bed while Mom & Dad pack one morning.

We decided to try the sippy cup as well during this timeframe. He thinks it's pretty cool, but still hasn't gotten the hang of it....Stella has though. She is ready to lick it as soon as it drops...or leaning over for a lick. Here he is with his first crack at it.

Here he is in his jammies again watching Mom & Dad pack. Seriously don't know what we'd have done without the jumper & the farm!

We have to look stylin' for moving to our new neighborhood!

Solids! I Love Squash! Really I do! Not so sure about sweet potatoes though. I don't have a picture, but last night he was sooo tired (only 1 nap at daycare) when I was feeding him at the highchair, he was falling asleep in between bites - hilarious. We finally gave up & put him in bed.

As the house was getting filled with more & more boxes & his toys were packed away, Austin was pretty anxious. He was so sensitive at times that we needed to hold him the whole time...which makes packing a bit harder. My back doesn't miss this part.

Every once & awhile Austin wanted to help packing by playing with the big bags since he loves the noise they make.

Ah, home at last...wait a minute, we moved into a 1 room house???? No not exactly, but we did camp out in the kitchen the first night as the carpets were drying. Thank goodness we have a big kitchen. It was fun, but glad it was only for 1 night.

Here's Austin unpacking his room. He thought the boxes were fun noise makers as well. The flaps worked for great toys. He is also big into opening/shutting things like books, so this was just a giant flap for him.

Mom snuck away for a photo shoot on Sunday while the boys (Erik & Tim) were working outside. Here we are in Austin's playroom.

Here is Austin with Emily's big bear "Crash", they make a great pair don't they?

As you can see Austin is really good at sitting up now. Every once and a while he tips over, but not to much anymore. We put his bumper back on so we don't have any more stuck leg incidents! He loves it! He likes to pull at it & look at the animals & colors on it.

As you can see, he is transitioning well into his new room & looks super happy just chillin' in his crib.

After a big week, he is zonked out in bed.

Rise & shine sweetie pie!

Here he is today, all smiles, even after his shots!

He is so close to crawling! He knows he has to get his butt up, just hasn't put it all together yet. We have 3 baby gates on order right now so once he does, we are ready!

Even though we had to say goodbye to some great neighbors & a wonderful group of gals watching Austin, all of us are very happy here at our new home. I can't speak for Erik, but I know I am more calm & relaxed just by looking at our backyard. I think my commute helps this too, so much scenery. This is what we wanted & needed to raise our kids. I just don't think you could ever shake the 'small town' out of us, we were really looking for it. Thanks to all who helped, especially Tim & the Websters - don't know what we would have done without you guys!
